Death Valley Days ran for 17 years and was hosted by “The Old Ranger” portrayed by actor Stanley Andrews. After he died midway through production, respected actors including Ronald Reagan, Robert Taylor, and finally Dale Robertson filled in as host and occasional stars of numerous episodes. Producer Robert Stabler’s Madison Productions filmed more in Kanab than any other company, and dozens and dozens of Death Valley Days episodes were shot there in “Utah’s Little Hollywood.”
