Charlie's Time was a community gathering space at 913 MLK Blvd. because its owner, Charlie Smith, loved people and music. Open late at night from 11:00 to 7:00 in the morning, the club operated from the 1960s to the 1980s as a place where people found good music, entertainment, and food.
