The General Dynamics F-111 served as a highly versatile aircraft used as a fighter, interceptor, fighter-bomber, attack, reconnaissance, and electronic warfare aircraft. It made its combat debut in Vietnam in 1968, later took part in the 1986 strike against terrorist targets in Libya, and participated in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm in 1990-1991. Kelly workers provided support and electronic test equipment for the aircraft, including a major acquisition of replacement automatic test equipment. The aircraft was dedicated in July 1992 to all Kelly employees who worked to defend the country, and it is on loan from the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
