Frank Eubank Booker, Jr., born March 15, 1919, and died May 18, 1967, was the founder and president of Booker Grocery Co. at 65 S. Main St. in the Town of Halifax, Virginia, from 1946 to 1967, and Halifax County's visionary and exemplary leader as chairman and member of the Board of Supervisors from 1959 to 1967. He was a graduate and star athlete of Halifax County Public Schools, a graduate of Hampden Sydney College, a World War II veteran, and a church leader.
