The Frederick C. Bogk House in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is a historic Frank Lloyd Wright residence completed in 1917 for alderman and paint executive Frederick C. Bogk. A late Prairie style design, it stands out for its unusually solid, almost fortress-like character, combining buff brick, leaded art glass, cast concrete, broad eaves, and a low-pitched hip roof shaped in part by Wright’s contemporary work and Japanese influence. Its carefully planned interior includes flowing first-floor spaces, distinctive decorative glass, built-in furnishings, and a tiled goldfish pond. Long owned by Robert and Barbara Elsner, it remains one of Milwaukee’s notable Wright houses.
