Sarah Bush Johnston, a local woman, lived with her three children in a cabin like this close replica in the early 1800's. She married Thomas Lincoln on Dec. 2, 1819, in Elizabethtown, uniting the Bush and Lincoln families. Her love and good character were believed to have favorably influenced young Abraham Lincoln, who was destined to become sixteenth President of the United States.
