Carla Wallenda, the only daughter of Helen and Karl Wallenda, began performing at four years of age and went on to become the oldest performing daredevil in history. Over a 78-year career, she thrilled audiences around the world and starred in many circuses, including Ringling Bros & Barnum and Bailey, Clyde Beatty, and Cole Bros, performing both with her family, the Great Wallendas, and with her husband of 40 years, Mike Morgan. She became renowned for her talent on the high wire, the way pole, cloud swing, slide for life, and many other aerial feats. A headliner in every kind of entertainment venue, with many movie and TV credits, her legacy continued through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
