Built in 1951 on the south side of Oak Hill, the hospital served Oak Hill and the surrounding area until 2000, when a state of the art medical facility opened in Jackson, OH. Holzer Health Systems donated the site to the Oak Hill Area Chamber of Commerce in 2005. Parcels were sold at auction, and the proceeds were used to purchase the site of the former Central School for construction of Central Memorial Park. Central Memorial Park was dedicated to the Oak Hill community on August 23, 2008.
