Original columns from Ray County’s courthouse supported the courtroom from 1856 to 1913. Stone for the plaque base came from the first Recorder’s Office and was preserved and donated to the citizens of Ray County by Randall G. and Marvel C. Barber and Harold Bondurant. The fountain was donated by J. Ray and Lucille Gill. Brick from the Lawson depot of 1871 and the Henrietta depot of 1888 was donated by S.D. and Ardis Driskill.
