McCart Fire Lookout is a historic fire lookout in the Bitterroot National Forest near Sula, Montana. Built in 1939, it stands at 7,115 feet about 4 miles south of the East Fork Forest Service Station. The structure is an L-4 fire lookout, a standard tower type used to spot wildfires from high vantage points. It was named for Bill McCart, a longtime National Forest Service employee in the East Fork District, now known as the Sula District. Its listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996 recognizes its historical importance as part of forest fire detection in the region.
