Nature
A White Oak, Quercus alba, replaced the historic tree originally preserved by the Rev. Samuel Tuttle in 1858. Known as the tree in the middle of the road, it stood on Prospect St. until 1996 and was replaced for Our Town, Revered In Our Hearts, dedicated at the Millenium Picnic on June 5, 1999 by Friends Of Madison Shade Trees.
