The Butternut Trail is a 0.83-mile moderate loop with steep hills and rocky cliffs that passes through Beech-Maple forest to a small cave area, with rock outcroppings and mature trees. The Doris Duke Woods Trail is a 1-mile moderate loop with an uphill incline through a 180-acre deciduous woodland named after Doris Duke, the tobacco heiress who acquired the timber rights for the woodlot after Louis Bromfield's death in 1956. The Jungle Brook Trail is a 0.70-mile moderate loop through lush lowland flora, undisturbed habitat, wildflowers, herbs, wildlife, and wet sections crossed by a boardwalk. The Pleasant Valley Bridle Trail is a 7-mile moderate route with some steep hills and stream crossings that passes scenic overlooks, old-growth forests, winding streams, rock outcroppings, and a waterfall and rock shelter, and it is open to horses and pedestrians from 1079 feet at the river crossing to 1390 feet at Horseman's Area. Ferguson Falls Hike is a difficult route that climbs uphill from the Maple Sugar Bush through a scenic meadow and woods to the falls, then returns downhill, beginning at Pugh Cabin or the Working Farm parking lot and requiring caution, especially in winter.
