American Legion Memorial Park honors those who served in World War II and those who sacrificed their lives to protect the freedoms for which they fought, including Frank C. Bainum, George E. Baker, Harold W. Baltz, Joshua J. Beckford, Charles L. Clark, Dorald R. Dennis, Carloss Ddysinger, Joseph S. Gazarek, Henry Goeminne, Edison W. Harmon, Charles Hummel, Edwin R. Ring, Calvin J. Lyons of the Air Corps, Cloyce McLaughlin, Donald R. McMahan, Ora Sharinghousl Jr. of the Navy, Alva Smith Jr., Irvin Thompson of the Navy, Lloyd W. Whetsel of the Marines, G. Wayne Wilkinson, Gerald Wymer, and Kenneth Strike. It also honors World War I service members Charles B. Lawrence of the Navy, Morris H. Deiman, John W. Weaver, Howard W. Wrede of the Navy, and Vernon Wymer.
