Rancho San Antonio County Park and the adjoining open space preserve form a heavily used recreational and conservation landscape near Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, and Cupertino on the edge of Silicon Valley. The area has been occupied for more than 3,000 years, from Ohlone settlement at Partacsi through Spanish, Mexican, and American ownership. Santa Clara County acquired parkland in the late 20th century, while the broader landscape preserves diverse habitats, creek watersheds, and wildlife corridors for native animals. It is also known for a giant California bay laurel, extensive trails, and Deer Hollow Farm, which preserves the region’s last working homestead as a center for environmental and historical education.
