Buffalo High School is the last remaining example of non-residential Classic Revival style architecture in Buffalo. It was designed by architect A. J. O'Shea and built in 1916 by Meineke Building Company of Fargo at a cost of $20,000. The school closed in 1978 and became the property of the Buffalo Historical Society, Inc. In 2001 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
