The 24th Regiment Connecticut Volunteers monument, erected in 1904 by members of the regiment, citizens of Middletown, and the State of Connecticut, honors the unit's service with the 2nd Brigade, 4th Division, 19th Army Corps at Port Hudson, Irish Bend, Baton Rouge, and Donaldsonville, and records those from the regiment who died in service, including men killed in action, those who died from wounds, and others who died while serving in companies A, B, C, D, E, F, H, I, and K.
