The Children’s Museum of Evansville is an interactive museum in downtown Evansville, Indiana, dedicated to hands-on learning through play, experimentation, and creative expression. Opened in September 2006 in the city’s former Central Library, it combines children’s education with the adaptive reuse of an Art Deco landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its three floors contain participatory exhibits, including spaces for deconstructing objects, a multilevel water exhibit, displays on the human body and the senses, and a gallery focused on freedom of expression. It remains both a family destination and a renewed public educational space in a historic civic building.
