Mayor's Grove is dedicated to the men and women who gave their time and talents in service to the office of mayor for the village of Oak Harbor. As incorporated in April 1871, those associated with that service include John R. Wilson, Otto Schimansky, John C. Metzger, William H. Mylander, Dr. F. W. Gradolph, Louis Hilb, Peter W. Gulau, Oscar Herring, Dr. Robert L. Bolte, Paul Provonsha, Thomas F. Palmer, Jeanne Blausey, Thomas C. Leaser, William Eberle, Donald Douglas, Gustavus A. Kraemer, William E. Bense, William W. Dward, James H. Kraemer, Dr. George C. Mawer, Louis L. Carstensen, Dr. Justin G. Ballou, O.L. Teagarden, Joseph Flury, Donald Foreman, Willard Bloom, Peter J. Macko, Fred Conley, Joseph W. Helle, and Quinton Babcock. W. W. Wardlow served as the first mayor under the village name of Hartford, Ohio, in 1835.
