Sunbury's war memorials include a center monument erected by the Sunbury Civic Club on Nov. 11, 1921, in memory of World War heroes J. MacBrill, Raymond Barnasconi, Harold G. Edwards, Hunter Foulkrod, Herbert E. Kaufman, Milton J. Norman, Roy A. Thomas, Willis L. Strouse, James S. Steele, Merrill W. Lupold, Andrew R. Lafaver, Thomas J. Lyons, Harry W. Rimert, John F. Walter, Roy A. Musser, George L. Mullner, Harry E. Brosious, and Clifford Fisher. A left monument is dedicated to all veterans of World War I, 1917-1918, World War II, 1941-1945, Lebanon, 1982-1984, and Grenada, 1982-1984. A right monument is dedicated to all veterans of Korea, 1950-1955, Vietnam, 1961-1975, Panama, and the Persian Gulf.
