The Historic Upper Nyack Firehouse, home of Empire Hook and Ladder Company no. 1, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior under the provisions of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 in recognition of its architectural significance, effective September 1982.
