Kauffman’s Distillery Covered Bridge, also called Sporting Hill Bridge, is a historic covered road bridge over Chiques Creek southwest of Manheim in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Built in 1857 by James C. Carpenter and rebuilt in 1874 by Elias McMellen, it largely retains the form known today. The county-owned bridge carries Sun Hill Road and is a single-span wooden double Burr arch truss with steel hanger rods and an oak-plank deck. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, it remains both a working rural crossing and part of Lancaster County’s distinctive covered bridge tradition.
