Company A of the 110th Infantry Regiment was organized on November 28, 1873, as part of the 10th Infantry Regiment, Pennsylvania National Guard. On October 11, 1917, the "Fighting 10th" combined with the 3rd Infantry Regiment to form the 110th Infantry Regiment of the 28th "Keystone" Division. The unit was called to service in the War with Spain in the Philippines from May 1898 to August 1899, on the Mexican border from July to October 1916, in World War I from July 1917 to May 1919, in World War II from February 1941 to October 1945, and in the Korean Emergency from September 1950 to June 1954. It honors the brave men from Colonial Days to the present who served, stood ready to serve, and joined its ranks while serving with the Armed Forces of the United States in times of emergency.
