In Little Havana, Miami, the Bay of Pigs Museum serves as the official home of Brigade 2506’s memory and one of the city’s clearest places of remembrance for the Bay of Pigs Invasion and its veterans. Opened on April 17, 1986, by veterans and exile-community organizers, it preserves a small but notable collection of invasion-related ephemera and memorabilia, including the Brigade 2506 flag held by President John F. Kennedy during a 1962 address. The museum has also remained active in Florida’s Cuban exile politics, drawing visits from prominent Republican figures while continuing to honor the brigade and the wider exile community.
