Butcher Hill is a summit in Wood County, West Virginia, rising to 912 feet and also described as a mountain despite being shown as a hill. By elevation, it ranks as the 932nd highest summit in the state. Its name comes from the local Butcher family, pioneer settlers in the area. Though modest in height, it is part of the many small summits that define West Virginia’s landscape.
