Devil's Staircase Wilderness is a protected forest wilderness in the Southern Oregon Coast Range beside the Umpqua River, officially designated in 2019. It is significant as one of the few federally protected old-growth forest stands in the Oregon Coast Range. Along with Drift Creek, Rock Creek, and Cummins Creek, established in 1984, it helps preserve a rare expanse of mature Coast Range forest in a region where protected old-growth areas are uncommon.
