Kingsley Covered Bridge, also known as Mill River Bridge, carries East Street over the Mill River in Clarendon, Vermont, beside the historic Kingsley grist mill landscape. The surviving wooden covered bridge is generally dated to about 1870, though the site had an authorized crossing by 1788 and the structure bears an 1836 date. Attributed to Timothy K. Horton, it is a single-span Town lattice truss bridge with a one-lane roadway. As Clarendon's only surviving 19th-century covered bridge, it preserves both an important example of wooden bridge construction and the historic riverside setting associated with the mill district.
