Morey’s Piers grew from a single family-run boardwalk attraction opened in North Wildwood in 1969 by Bill and Will Morey Sr. into a major Wildwoods resort complex with three amusement piers and two beachfront waterparks. Expanding through the purchase and reinvention of older piers, the business developed Surfside, Mariner’s, and Adventure piers, each with its own character, from classic boardwalk rides to large thrill attractions. Waterparks added in the 1980s broadened its appeal, while accidents over the years prompted safety changes. It remains a defining attraction on the Wildwoods boardwalk and a major part of the Jersey Shore summer season.
