Mount Morrison is a seven-thousand-eight-hundred-eighty-one-foot foothill on the eastern flank of Colorado’s Front Range in Red Rocks Park, just northwest of Morrison. Although part of the Rocky Mountains, it is one of the lower and more accessible rises at the meeting of plains and mountains. The peak is closely tied to the Red Rocks area, with Red Rocks Amphitheatre on its eastern side. Rising above Morrison amid the park’s striking sandstone landscape, it forms part of one of the Front Range’s best-known natural settings.
