Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium in Tucson, Arizona, is a University of Arizona science museum that joins public exhibits with a planetarium centered on Earth and space sciences. Named for author Grace Flandrau and established through a gift from her estate, the project was approved in 1972 and opened in 1975 under first director O. Richard Norton. Its planetarium, now the Eos Foundation Planetarium Theater, has a 15.2-meter dome and seats 146 people. After using the Hector Vector Star Projector in its earlier years, the theater was renovated and reopened under its current name in 2017. The center also gave its name to minor planet 18368 Flandrau.
