Built in 1915 when the county seat was moved from Old Tascosa, the Oldham County Courthouse in Vega, Texas, stood along the original Route 66, which ran in front of the courthouse and turned west at its northwest corner, and it was later recognized by Hampton Hotels Save-A-Landmark program as a site worth seeing.
