Lot 33 in the original town of Perryville was transferred by the Commissioners of Perryville to Isidore Moore in 1823. Little is known of its early years, but by 1895 Louis Doerr had a store there, and the building was widely known as the Louis Doerr Building. After 1900 it became known as the Zoellner Building and housed Lappa and Voelker Dressmakers, The East Side Grocery, and Deimund Shoemakers. Brothers A.H. and J.J. Zoellner first opened a grocery there and then a furniture store, eventually starting the Zoellner Brothers Undertaking Company at that location and beginning a long history in Perryville's local undertaking business. The Zoellners later partnered with Edward C. Young under the name Zoellner and Young. After Zoellner and Young moved to the south side of the square, the building was occupied by a series of taverns, including Fritz and Glen's, Layton's Tavern, Old Timers Tavern, The Place, and Bobo's. After standing closed for some time, it was renovated for use as a spa called Body Treats, and in 2024 it became the location of HSB Advisors, an accounting firm.
