Theodore McNaughton was associated with the original site of the Covenanted Church, now the McNaughty Burial Plot at 1st Andrew Episcopal Church at Farm Ridge, Illinois, near Ottawa. Ford Blaine McNaughton was identified as a descendant of Scottish kings from Alpine King of Scots through Robert II, including Alfred the Great and Robert Bruce, and also as a descendant of English kings from Egbert, First King of the English, to the joining of the English and Scottish thrones with Robert II; he was also related to the Steuben County Duguid pioneers. Lena Mae Mulchahey McNaughton was identified as a descendant of the Mayflower pilgrims John and Elizabeth Tilley, Bridget Van Develde, and John Howland; Bridget was orphaned in the first year at Plymouth and was raised by John and Priscilla Alden. Lena Mae was also identified as a descendant of the Terry clock makers and various patriots of the American Revolution, and as closely related to the Hazen family, for whom various developments on Clear Lake have been named.
