Bachelor Mountain is a 5,953-foot peak in Oregon’s Willamette National Forest beside Coffin Mountain. Known locally for a hiking trail to its summit, it offers broad views across the Cascade Range. The mountain also once supported a fire lookout, connecting it to Oregon’s long tradition of observing for wildfire in its forested high country.
