Robert "Bob" Rosioli moved with his family from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to South Florida in 1956 and entered the Florida marine industry in 1962, sanding boats at the Marine Ways boatyard in Fort Lauderdale. In the late 1960s, he began his own yacht servicing business, Roscioli Yachting Center, Inc., on a small dock, building it through hard work, attention to detail, quality, customer pride, and a team shaped by loyalty, trust, and the ability to meet challenges. In 1981, he expanded by acquiring a larger shipyard, and by 1987 he had moved into building his own yachts through Roscioli Donzi Yachts. His notable clients included McDonald’s founder Ray Kroc and builder Henry Burger. Guided by his mantra, "Today’s the day!", he helped define Fort Lauderdale’s marine and yachting industries for nearly sixty years and became a respected figure in yacht building, repair, and restoration. He died in 2020 at age 78, survived by his wife, Sharon, and his children, Robert and Heather.
