Gardens of the Blue Ridge is a family-owned and operated business that has nurtured roots for four generations by helping people appreciate and carry native wildflowers with them. Founded in Massachusetts in 1892, it later put down roots in Highlands, North Carolina, then Linville, North Carolina, and now Pineola. In contrast to synthetic sameness, the family invites people to notice the natural beauty around them, including native wildflowers that may be hidden in the woods, abundant along roadsides, or dismissed as weeds. Among these are Yellow Lady Slippers, Jack-in-the-Pulpits, Trilliums, and Fire Pinks, plants presented as nature's special treasures to be admired and cherished by wildflower lovers from around the world.
