Wheeling and Lake Erie caboose number 0205 was one of 60 built in 1948 at the railroad's Toledo Ironville shops. The steel-framed caboose was 34 feet 3 inches long and weighed 22,700 pounds. It became Nickel Plate number 705 in 1949 and Norfolk and Western number 557705 in 1964. In 1989, Norfolk Southern donated the caboose to Richard Rowlands of Hubbard, Ohio, and it was later donated to the park, repainted by Trinity Industries, and placed here in 1992.
