This building was built prior to 1850 at Waverly Plantation and was moved to its present location in 1970. It was the only school available on lower Waccamaw Neck and operated until the early 1920s. Families whose children attended included the Lachicottes, Allstons, Wards, Gardners, Spring Labruces, Nesbits, Skinners, and Hurcombs.
