Quitman and Brooks County dedicated this memorial on November 11, 1921, to those who gave much and to those who gave all. It was erected by the Quitman Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and names local dead from World War I and World War II, including 1st Lt. Wilbur Oglesby, numerous privates, and a separate listing of Colored Privates for World War I, followed below by the names of those from World War II.
