The Pacific Electric Railroad built this depot in 1911. Fruit was shipped out by the carload, while fertilizer, lumber, machinery, and other supplies were delivered here. The first means of public transportation, the "Big Red Car," took townsfolk to Los Angeles nine times a day. As passengers approached, conductor Ben Foss would shout, "Yorba Linda, Capital of the World!"
