Henry Bundy, Sr. operated grist and saw mills here from 1847 until they were destroyed by fire in 1877. His sons Henry, Horace, and Milan rebuilt them as a custom grist mill, and it remained in use until it was disassembled in the 1940's. The mill dam itself was removed in 1954.
