The Sisters of the Holy Cross are honored for their commitment to compassionate healing. A dedication took place at Saint Joseph Hospital in South Bend in October 1965, and after the existing buildings there were demolished to make space for the new Saint Joseph High School, the rightful location was determined to be the new Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center campus in Mishawaka, Indiana. There it was repainted to current standards and erected next to the thirty-foot cross from the same campus, with a rededication on September 9, 2013.
