Born in Brownsburg, Robbie Stanley wanted nothing more than to drive race cars and drive them well, and in his brief life he far exceeded those expectations. At only 6, he was racing quarter midgets. He was spectacular, winning over 200 races and the National Championship in 1980. His stunning success paved the way for his advancement, and with the support of his parents, Ron and Rita, at 16 he was ready for the next rung up the racing ladder, sprint cars. Victory did not come easily, but he persisted.
