Powder Mill Spring is in eastern Oregon County in the Ozarks of southern Missouri, on the west bank of the Eleven Point River about four miles north of the U.S. Route 160 crossing at Riverton. Also known as Powder Mill Bottom, the site preserves a local historical memory in its name. A powder mill once stood in the valley near the spring, linking this natural feature to an earlier period of local industry and settlement.
