Publius Rutilius Rufus Pray, born in Maine in 1793, became a judge in Hancock County, served in the Mississippi House of Representatives from 1827 to 1829, presided over the state constitutional convention in 1832, was elected judge of the High Court of Errors and Appeals in 1837, and died in 1840.
