The Mission Building was one of Glendora's most distinguished landmarks. Its Foothill Boulevard façade featured a covered walkway shared by several storefronts. A popular malt shop stood on the corner, and a theater occupied most of the building. In the 1930's, Richard and Maurice McDonald, later known for McDonald's Restaurant, operated the theater.
