Fish Canyon Falls is a four-tier, roughly 80-foot waterfall on Fish Canyon Creek in Duarte, within the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument and Angeles National Forest. Fed by upstream springs, it is notable in Southern California for a relatively dependable year-round flow. The falls became a popular short mountain outing as outdoor recreation expanded in the 1920s, and by 1936 the excursion was already well established. Later recreation cabins along the creek were destroyed in a 1958 wildfire. In recent decades, access became entangled in conflicts over quarrying, with long restrictions, a brief 2014 reopening, renewed closure after the 2016 San Gabriel Complex Fire, and plans funded in 2024 to restore the trail.
