The Vietnam Veterans Reunion Committee sought to build a memorial that would give life to those who had passed and peace to those who were living while honoring all veterans, in peace time and war time, living and deceased. It was dedicated May 30, 2005, and was associated with Lowell E. Davis, Mike "Butch" Gunter, James Kerstein, Jerald E. Kobler, Larry E. Madiran, Ron Shew, Les "Boomer" Snider, Bill Stewart, David J. Wilson, Jim Ragain, Randell Grax, R. G. Shew, Don Burgrabe, VFW Men's Auxiliary, and VFW Post 1301.
