Bells Mills Covered Bridge is a historic wooden covered bridge over Sewickley Creek in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, linking Sewickley Township and South Huntingdon Township. Built in 1850, the 95-foot road bridge uses a Burr truss, a design widely adopted in the 19th century for strength and practicality. Its significance also lies in its unusual finish: pedimented gables and plain pilasters in the Greek Revival style give this rural crossing a more formal look. In 1980, it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places for both its engineering and its role in Pennsylvania’s covered-bridge heritage.
