Sebastian "Bus" Krier, a foreman for the Lake Shore Stone Company, lived on this scenic spot in a handsome two-story house with a magnificent view of Lake Michigan. His comfortable home stood in marked contrast to the small, box-like houses of most company employees. Originally located directly east of the quarry, the house was moved here when quarrying operations began in that area, and part of its foundation still remains today.
