Garces National Forest was a former U.S. National Forest in Arizona, established on July 1, 1908, from parts of the Baboquivari, Tumacacori, and Huachuca National Forests and totaling 78,480 acres. It was named for the Franciscan missionary Father Francisco Garcés, an early explorer whose travels reached Arizona and southern California. The forest existed only briefly as a separate unit. On July 1, 1911, it was merged into Coronado National Forest, ending use of the Garces name.
